USQ could not run without the invaluable support of volunteers. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, USQ can sign service hour verification forms, and as such, volunteering can count towards service or volunteer requirements for individuals or teams. Volunteering commitment is 2-5 hours a week, with the ability to scale week-to-week to best fit with your schedule.

  • The Executive Assistant provides direct administrative support to the CEO of US Quadball, ensuring smooth operations, effective communication, and timely follow-through on organizational priorities. This volunteer plays a key role in keeping the CEO organized and focused, while also acting as a bridge to other staff, volunteers, and stakeholders.

    This is a year-round volunteer position.

    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Assist the CEO in answering info@ emails, schedule meetings, and coordinating logistics

    • Track action items and deadlines to ensure timely follow-up

    • Assist with meeting preparation, including agendas, materials, and notes

    • Conduct data entry and research as requested

    • Coordinate with department directors and volunteers on behalf of the CEO

  • The Press Assistant supports US Quadball’s media and communications efforts by coordinating with journalists, drafting press materials, and assisting with media outreach. This volunteer ensures USQ maintains strong relationships with the press and communicates effectively about the sport and its events.

    This is a year-round volunteer position.

    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Draft and distribute press releases and media advisories

  • The Newsletter Coordinator manages US Quadball’s email communications using Constant Contact. This volunteer ensures consistent, engaging newsletters are delivered to members and stakeholders.

    This is a year-round volunteer position.

    • Draft, edit, and send regular newsletters via Constant Contact

    • Collaborate with USQ staff and volunteers to collect content for newsletters

  • US Quadball is seeking a creative, motivated and organized Marketing Intern to support the organization’s Marketing Department, reporting to the Marketing Director. This internship is ideal for a student interested in non-profit marketing, sports marketing, content creation, and social media strategy. 

    The Marketing Intern will assist with marketing for the organization, content creation and social media engagement while gaining hands-on experience supporting a nonprofit focused on empowering adult and youth athletes of all identities, including all races and genders, to compete together.

  • Each Collegiate Growth Coordinator is responsible for a specific territory (Northeast, Southeast, Midwest, Southwest, or West). Coordinators implement growth strategies, conduct outreach to colleges, and provide one-on-one support for recruitment and retention.

    This is a year-round volunteer position.

    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • The Intramural Program Coordinator builds pathways for schools to establish quadball through intramural programs. This volunteer reports to the Collegiate Growth Director.

  • The People Operations Manager reports to the CEO of US Quadball. MEMBERSHIP DEPARTMENT

  • The USQ Membership Director leads USQ’s Membership Department, including regional coordinators, the USQ Enrollment Coordinator, and other roles supporting USQ’s members. This position works closely with the CEO to ensure the department provides strong support and resources for USQ members.

    This is a year-round volunteer position.

    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Supervise department projects and progress

    • Leading department and, if applicable, team meetings

    • Supervise team leads (if applicable) or act as team lead where none is present

    • Suggest funding requests for organizational and project budgets to the executive team

    • Coordinate social activities for the department, with support from team leads

    • Serve as point of contact for the Membership Department

  • The USQ Enrollment Coordinator provides administrative support to college members by tracking enrollment requirements. They ensure that all college teams and players complete their enrollment and work closely with other staff and volunteers in the USQ Events, Gameplay, and Membership Departments.

    This is a year-round volunteer position. In the off-season, this individual will support other membership functions that may be of interest.

  • The US Quadball conference coordinator acts as a representative for and liaison to quadball conferences. The conference coordinator is a volunteer within the Membership Department and reports directly to the membership director.

YOUTH DEPARTMENT

    Youth Event Coordinators serve as the logistical backbone of USQ’s youth and community programs. These volunteers handle venue logistics, city contracts, insurance, background checks, registration, and scheduling, ensuring every event runs safely and efficiently. Event Coordinators may also oversee on-site operations when available.

HIGH PERFORMANCE DEPARTMENT

  • The USNT Developmental Academy (USNTDA) is a team within the US National Team program designed to develop future national team talent while providing current USNT rosters with athletic and promising players to train with and against at training camps. The goal of the USNTDA staff is to provide younger generations of athletes with more gameplay structure, experience, and knowledge than they might otherwise receive.

    The USNT Developmental Academy Coordinator is responsible for the logistical organization and administrative operations of the USNTDA. This volunteer reports directly to the USNT Manager and plays a key role in budgeting, fundraising, partnerships, and event logistics.

    This is a year-round volunteer position. Volunteers will receive a USQ email address and attend meetings with other volunteers as needed. They will also have opportunities to contribute to USNT programs and events, including the IQA World Cup, IQA Pan-American Games, and USNT training camps. All candidates are expected to have a valid passport and be able to attend the Quadball Nations Cup in the years the USNTDA chooses to compete. 

    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Work with the USNT Manager to set and manage the USNTDA budget

  • The US Quadball Bookkeeper supports the Finance Department by ensuring financial accuracy and accountability. This volunteer assists with reconciliations, helps catch errors, and will eventually oversee payouts to officials. The Bookkeeper reports directly to the Finance Director.

    This is a year-round volunteer position.

    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Review and verify financial reconciliations

    • Identify and correct financial errors

    • Support accurate bookkeeping and reporting in QuickBooks

    • Take over responsibility for processing payouts to officials

    • Assist with preparation of financial reports as needed

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

    • Experience with QuickBooks or nonprofit accounting

    • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills

    • Available to volunteer at least three hours per week

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • Prior nonprofit bookkeeping experience

    • Experience managing financial disbursements

INTERN WITH USQ

The US Quadball Intern Program was established to provide hands-on, working experience to students with an interest in working with an inclusive, non-profit, sports organization. The USQ Intern program provides an opportunity to learn in the fields of marketing, event planning, and/or collegiate growth with a diverse network of volunteers from across the country. Each student will work directly with their mentor in their respective department to set goals and develop their skills in their respective field. 

This position is unpaid, fully remote, and work will be completed virtually. The student will report directly to their mentor, and will be introduced to the team that they will be collaborating with for the duration of their internship. Flexibility is required as some of the team collaborators may work in other time zones. The work they complete may include working on existing projects or starting at the ground level with new department initiatives.

Requirements of USQ

  • Provide a safe and accepting work environment

  • Provide practical, real world work experience

  • Provide a dedicated mentor to set goals and guide the student

  • Provide guidance on assigned projects and tasks

  • Schedule a weekly check in with their student

  • Coordinate with students school on evaluations, where applicable

Requirements of Applicant

  • Be able to work up to 10 hours of work per week

  • Be organized and timely on deliverables

  • Ability to meet virtually with designated mentor and department team members
