US Quadball is pleased to announce Bernardo Berges as the Chair of the Board of Directors, effective December 11th, 2024. Josh Dunning has also been elected for an interim second term as Vice-Chair. Both terms will expire, along with other USQ Board officers, in May 2025.
Joseph Galtelli, the current Board Chair of US Quadball has decided to step down from his position as the board chair. He will remain on the board to facilitate the transition and onboarding of new board members through January. US Quadball extends its deepest gratitude for his dedicated service and invaluable contributions to the growth and development of the sport.
Bernardo Berges brings a wealth of experience and passion to his new role as Board Chair of US Quadball. Berges began his Quadball journey in 2013 at the University of Miami, where he discovered the sport while seeking new athletic pursuits. He graduated from the University of Miami with a degree in Business Administration.
Throughout his decade-long involvement in Quadball, Berges has worn many hats, serving as a player, referee, tournament director, coach, and captain, including representing the United States at the 2016 IQA World Cup.
Beyond the field, he has small business experience as a co-owner of El Million Food Truck Park in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. Currently, Berges works as a Technology Business Analyst in Washington, DC, where he continues to contribute to the Quadball community as a coach with the District of Columbia Quadball Club.
