Follow The Action at the 2023 Southwest Regional Championship

USQ’s spring regional championships end this weekend at the Round Rock Multipurpose Complex in Round Rock, TX with the 2023 Southwest Regional Championship. This regional will see six collegiate teams and five club teams compete for the title of regional champion as well as for bids for US Quadball Cup 2023. Information about how to stay updated on the action (including livestream) is below.

Schedule

Games start at 9 am CT on Saturday and 9 am CT on Sunday. The schedule is available on our website. Click the Schedule & Scores tab, select a division, and scroll down.

Gameplay Schedule

The collegiate round robin will take place across Saturday and Sunday. The club round robin will take place over the course of just Saturday. All game times are in CT.

Gameplay Format

Club

With five teams attending, the club division will take part in a one day round robin on Saturday. Rankings will determine the sole club championship bid. One club championship bid will be available for the event.

College

The collegiate division will be a 2 day round robin event beginning on Saturday. Pool play will take place on Saturday and early Sunday, and then bracket will take place to determine the regional champion and bids. Two D1 bids will be available. The final game will begin at 1:45pm on Sunday.

Watching Online

Games on Pitch 2 will be streamed on the USQ Twitch channel. We recommend following the Twitch channel in advance in order to receive notifications when matches go live.

Attending In Person

The 2023 Southwest Regional Championship is being held at the Round Rock Multipurpose Complex (2001 North Kenney Fort Blvd, Round Rock, TX 78665).

Parking is free. Spectators should proceed to the merch tent (located next to HQ) to purchase tickets. There is food available to purchase onsite through the concessions stand.

Weather

The forecast on Saturday is mostly cloudy with a high of 55 degrees. The forecast on Sunday is also mostly cloudy, with a high of 80 degrees. It may be windy on Sunday, with south winds 10 to 15 mph increasing to 15 to 20 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 35 mph. The event will take place rain or shine, and we encourage attendees to come prepared for the weather. Pop-up tents and canopies may be set up on the turf but may not be staked into the ground or left overnight.
